Refund & Cancellation Policy
We want every EverBrook Publishing project to be clear and fair. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, revisions, and project-related payments are handled.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 2026
1. Introduction
At EverBrook Publishing, we aim to provide professional, high-quality publishing, formatting, design, editing, development, and related services.
Because many of our services involve customized work created specifically for each client, refunds and cancellations may depend on the stage of the project and the amount of work already completed.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle cancellation and refund requests.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation before work has started, the client may be eligible for a refund of the amount paid, subject to any non-refundable transaction or third-party fees that have already been incurred.
Refund eligibility will be determined based on the specific circumstances and agreed terms of the project.
3. Cancellation After Work Has Started
Once work has started, a project may not be eligible for a full refund because time, effort, and resources have already been committed to the project.
If a client requests cancellation after work has started, EverBrook Publishing may retain an amount reasonably corresponding to the work already completed and any non-refundable expenses incurred.
Where appropriate, any remaining refundable balance may be returned to the client through the original or agreed payment method.
4. Completed or Delivered Projects
Once the agreed project has been substantially completed or final files have been delivered and approved, the project will generally not be eligible for a refund simply because the client changes their mind.
This does not prevent a client from contacting us about legitimate errors or issues within the agreed scope of the service.
5. Revisions and Corrections
If revisions are included in the purchased service, clients should use the agreed revision process to request reasonable changes within the original project scope.
If EverBrook Publishing makes an error within the agreed scope, we will make reasonable efforts to correct that error.
Refunds will generally not be issued where the requested changes are simply changes in preference, new instructions, rewritten content, replacement materials, or work outside the original scope.
6. Client Delays or Failure to Respond
Project timelines may be affected when a client does not provide required information, files, feedback, approvals, or responses in a timely manner.
A delay caused by the client does not automatically create a right to a refund.
7. Third-Party Platform Rejections
EverBrook Publishing may prepare files or provide assistance for platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, Draft2Digital, and other publishing services.
These platforms independently control their own approval, publishing, printing, distribution, account, and content policies.
A rejection, delay, restriction, suspension, printing problem, distribution problem, or other decision made by a third-party platform does not automatically qualify a client for a refund.
If an issue is caused by an error in work performed by EverBrook Publishing, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the issue within the agreed scope.
8. Client-Provided Content and Materials
Clients are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts, images, text, fonts, artwork, metadata, ISBN information, and other materials they provide are accurate and legally usable.
We are generally not responsible for refunds resulting from errors, omissions, copyright issues, missing materials, inaccurate information, or other problems originating from client-provided content.
9. Digital Files
Many EverBrook Publishing services result in customized digital files, including EPUB, PDF, cover, and other production files.
Once customized digital files have been delivered, refunds will generally not be provided solely because the client no longer wants the files or changes their publishing plans.
If a delivered file contains an error that falls within the agreed project scope, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, correct the issue.
10. Third-Party and Non-Refundable Fees
Fees paid to third-party services or providers on behalf of a client may be non-refundable where those fees cannot be recovered.
Examples may include third-party publishing, distribution, payment processing, domain, hosting, software, or other service fees.
11. Refund Method and Processing
Approved refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method or another mutually agreed method where the original payment method is unavailable.
The time required for a refund to appear in the client's account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
12. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact us as soon as possible and provide:
- Your name and contact information.
- Project or order details.
- The reason for your cancellation or refund request.
- Any relevant supporting information.
We will review the request and respond after considering the project status, agreed scope, work completed, and applicable terms.
13. Disputes and Good-Faith Resolution
If you have a concern regarding our services, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the issue in good faith.
Where appropriate, we may offer corrections, revisions, partial refunds, or other reasonable solutions depending on the circumstances of the project.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, payment arrangements, or applicable requirements.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
